The use of psychometric tests and validated assessment centre instruments to assess individual and group behaviours, has been proven to increase the reliability of the selection process. Such tools are invaluable in order to objectively measure levels of ability, aptitude and skill as well as interests, values and occupational personality traits.

offers a range of services to assist you in making more effective ‘people’ decisions and with a plethora of some 8000 assessments on the market (and growing!), the right choice is difficult. Our consultants are completely independent which means we have access to all major publishers and are able to assist you in selecting the most appropriate options. We are also entirely flexible and able to administer and provide feedback on assessments or simply provide you with a bureau scoring service.
We can design and manage assessment centres to meet both selection and development needs such as promotions, performance evaluations, team-building and training needs analysis. We also have experience in identifying core competencies and producing competency framework models across a range of business contexts.

In collaboration with leading test publisher, Psytech International, we are delivering BPS* standard 'Test Administration Certificate ' and 'Level A Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing' courses. The training is available on an in-house basis either on site or at designated training venues. Ann-Marie Campbell
Ann-Marie's specialism lies across the areas of human resource consultancy, management development and project management. She has considerable expertise in the use of psychometric testing and competency based assessment, to measure people's behaviours and skills in the workplace. She has designed and delivered many bespoke assessment exercises to simulate as closely as possible the role, the environment and the culture of the designated company. As well as working with organisations to help them to recruit the right people, she has also been involved in auditing the skills of existing employees, identifying development needs and establishing a personal development plan system.
Prior to joining
TGP
as Business Manager in January 2000, Ann-Marie had successfully completed her first honours degree in Psychology. She then pursued a career as an Assessment Co-ordinator for a small HR Consultancy, where she led a project to design and manage the annual assessment of over 3,000 people across Lancashire. Within six months, she was promoted to Consultancy Manager and over a period of two years, she grew the company into a successful business working with blue chip clients including British Aerospace, Rolls Royce and Crown Wall Coverings.
Ann-Marie completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management in 1996 and subsequently joined a training organisation as a Senior Management Development Consultant working across the north west. Currently working towards her Masters in Management and an active member of British Psychological Society and Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Ann-Marie also guest lectures on the Institute of Management Diploma in Management and Certificate in Management courses. She is qualified to BPS Level A and B and is a holder of SHL management assessment licence.
Michelle Grealis
Michelle specialises in the delivery of outplacement and redundancy counselling, recruitment and selection as well as training and development. She has a wide range of people and operational management experience gained during her career within major blue chip service organisations.
Following a joint honours degree in Modern Languages, Michelle gained entry to the fastrack graduate management training programme at Airtours Holidays Limited. She went on to spend six years with the company, initially based in the Overseas Personnel Department where she held varied responsibilities including national recruitment campaigns and in house training programmes. She progressed into a line management role and was promoted to Regional Manager responsible for a group of overseas resort operations.
She moved into the recruitment industry in 1996, joining Manpower Plc in Manchester city centre as Branch Manager. Here she worked with industrial and commercial clients on both temporary and permanent campaigns. She gained particular hands on selection experience for the financial sector and 'teleservicing' market, with a client base including BT, Barclays, Nat West, Abbey National and Royal Bank of Scotland as well as many SME businesses. Two years later, she assumed the role of Training Manager for a regional recruitment consultancy prior to joining
TGP
as a HR Consultant in March 1999.
Michelle holds The Professional Certificate in Management and is qualified to BPS Level A; she has also completed the D32/33 NVQ Assessor Award.
Victoria Camera
Victoria has expertise in all areas of recruitment and selection, particularly in the design and management of assessment and development centres, competency frameworks, and all aspects of organisational psychology and development.
She successfully achieved an MBA, with specialist pathway in Human Resource Management. Prior to which she secured an honours degree in Business Studies and a HND in Business & Finance (specialising in HR). She then established a career within the executive recruitment industry working for the market leaders, TMP Worldwide and The National Computing Centre, across finance, IT and management sectors.
Victoria's expertise also lies within research and development, specifically within the areas of equal opportunities and gender bias. Most recently having worked in partnership with Lancaster University, Connexions, and The Chartered Management Institute.
Victoria was appointed as an HR Consultant by
TGP HR
in May 2000. She has undertaken the D32/33 NVQ Assessor Award and holds accreditation for BPS Level A and B, as well as Psychometric Technologies and SHL management assessment licences.

Measuring Up to The Needs of Young People
In conjunction with leading test publisher Psytech International,

has developed an innovative assessment tool to measure the abilities and occupational interests of young people. GeneSys Educational has been designed to accurately predict career suitability and training aptitude to assist careers guidance and advice specialists, education and training providers and employers. Following its recent launch, GeneSys Educational has already been widely acclaimed across the Connexions Service and by a number of Training Provider Networks. The assessment relies on either conventional or computerised methods of administration with software that is easy to install and use which takes care of the entire process – namely scoring, interpretation and data management.
Flexible and cost-effective, GeneSys Educational provides a quick and comprehensive picture for both the pre and post 16 range, offering up to 30% of pre-initial assessment toolkit and identifying personal work needs, vocational interests, job suggestions, NVQ levels/programmes and skill requirements. The general ability assessments include verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning. Commenting on behalf of Connexions Cheshire & Warrington, Assessment Manager, Paul Wilkinson reflected,
