Our handling of redundancies at Degussa over recent months has been well received by both those staff being made redundant and those working alongside them. Organisational restructuring has forced changes at the UK headquarters site in Macclesfield site and at the sister company SKW Chemicals in Halifax, leading to job losses in the sales and customer support division. One of the redundant staff, Andrea McNulty, has worked at Degussa for over 12 years where she has held responsibility for key account management. She recently contacted us to update us on her situation, "I would just like to thank you AMC for all the good advice you gave to me and my colleagues. The good news is that it's worked as I've landed myself another job. I will be staying in the same industry and I am able to have a month off before starting. What’s more, it’s on the doorstep for me – a round trip of no more than 4 miles, with hours that allow me to take the children to school.
